Unlike other recyclable goods, Oil sludge requires a great deal of treatment before it can be put back into the world for reuse. It is important to assess the oil sludge, as it can be contaminated with other materials.
Our sludge treatment process allows us to measure the oil, solid, and water content in the sludge. From here, we then separate the sludge and solids to ensure a clean and safe recovery of oil and water. This separation entails placing the oil contaminated with solids into a reception tank, where the majority of solid waste can be filtered from the liquid.
Then, this leftover liquid is placed in a heater where the oil and water can be separated. The recovered oil, which is skimmed off the top of the water as it is heated, is stored in bulk ready to be recycled. The water waste is then reused in our factories to heat up the tanks that separate the sludge.
