How Did We Help
We helped the business with collecting, pulping, and destroying 6,700 books, specifically 5.6 tonnes worth. This was stored on approximately 20 pallets, which our team collected quickly and efficiently using a rigid curtain sider lorry.
The books were then transported to a pulping and shredding facility. The required pallets of books were pulped in full with a destruction certificate to confirm this. The final 6 pallets were baled and sent with other materials to be processed: Shredded and produced into new card or paper. This ensures an environmentally friendly service for the disposal of these books.
Once collected, the publishing business was also provided with a certificate of destruction. This is a document which proves the books have been both destroyed and recycled. This is particularly important for businesses that handle branded, confidential or private waste materials.
