Walkers Chocolate Switches To Recyclable Paper Packaging
Walkers Chocolates EvoPak RCM Packaging
In a move that’s as sweet as their signature Turkish Delight, Walkers Chocolates is giving the planet a gift we can all unwrap. The beloved chocolatier has announced that its Turkish Delight and Mint Cream bars are ditching their old wrappers in favour of EvoPak RCM (recyclable, compostable and marine safe), a 100% recyclable paper packaging. It’s the eco-friendly glow-up we didn’t know our chocolate bars needed.
Not Your Average Wrapper
Unlike the traditional wrappers that include polyethylene, the new EvoPak RCM wrapper is a clean sustainable alternative. It’s made from Hydropol—a hydrophilic polymer developed by the sustainability wizards at Aquapak. The result? A easily recyclable packaging. Yes, you can throw it straight into your kerbside recycling bin for your local collection.
Rolling Out to Stores Near You
The revamped bars will make their debut this month in selected Asda and Premier retail stores across the UK. So, next time you’re perusing the chocolate aisle, keep an eye out for these pioneers of plastic-free snacking.
A Wrapper with a Purpose
This switch is more than just a packaging upgrade—it’s a statement. Walkers Chocolates is proving that sustainability doesn’t have to come at the cost of deliciousness. And hey, if saving the planet can be as simple as enjoying a Mint Cream bar, we’re all in.
